Cultural Diversity
We value, and foster in children, respect and care for others and the world around them.
We have an ongoing commitment to furthering our education in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures and feel it is important that children develop respect for diversity and an understanding of the history, cultures and, lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
We promote this understanding in a variety of ways, including:
- Acknowledgment of Country (Wiradjuri Land)
- Discussing and celebrating significant cultural events
- Inviting Aboriginal artists and performers into the service to share their skills and culture.
- Embedding Aboriginal Perspectives in our programs Including Wiradjuri language (numbers, names or birds and animals)
- Ongoing staff professional development
